Vacation is never ever long enough. We went away for 5 weeks and it seemed like a week. It's always good to have a nice place to go and get away from the stress of this crazy city. A place where there's a big big backyard with grass where you can have midnight BBQs and kick back with some ice cold beer, a home big enough so your kid can roll around, where the kids can play in the cul-de-sac, where you can drive your car into your garage and step right into your home, where there's central AC, where you can watch fireworks in your own backyard that's bigger and better than what this so called "rich" city can offer, where you don't have to parallel park anywhere, where drivers respect the rules of the road, where there are NO yellow cabs, where grocery stores are triple the size of pathmark, where there's WALMART, where you drive everywhere to avoid corns on your feet.....you get the drift.
Every year, I try to take as many vacations as I can. You work hard, you gotta play hard. Also, you gotta regain your sanity so that you can better deal with the nut cases here. Lord knows there are quite of few of them here at the Langston.
All I gotta say is this: If you're one of the crazy ones, you gotta GET OUT so that you can see that the world is not just you and your cuckoo-ness. Go see the world. see that there are other places that are better than manhattan. Don't make this place your only home.
