I tell you, if our board or management company stop hiring peeps who are so and so's friend with no experience, we wouldn't have to FIRE an incompetent super. It's really simple. HIRE one with REAL experience who wanna work, not look cute all the time. I've never EVER seen a super who dresses as if he's going to run a fortune 500.
Oh well, I guess I wasn't the only one noticing.
By the way, I don't get why dude is still living in his "paid for by us owners home" for the next 30 days and not perform any work. Say if you gave your boss a 2-week notice, would you be able to just sit on your ass for the next 2 weeks and do nothing?

It's pretty standard to give him 30 days to pack his stuff and leave.
I love, love, love your blog, and love, love, love your tone and strong opinions.
I have heard about it for a few months but had never read it in detail until last night.
You are right: the new Harlem condos are constructed very, very poorly; condo boards are extremely secretive, political, and they waste your common charges uneccessarily; street crime is rampant in Harlem and is getting worse with the recession. Read my blog www.manhattankids.blogspot.com. I focus on Harlem and write about parenting, condos, crime, and other random things.
Do you know that putting complaints like this out for the world to see is a great way to devalue the sale price of your condo?
It could devalue my condo (not that it could make it worse than the economy right now right?)....but if I these problems get fixed and avoided then it could make it worth much more. Homes lose value when problems don't get fixed.
