Gateway Center

I love Wolly World (Walmart) but since we don't have one in NYC, Target will do.  I shop at Target probably once a week if not every other week.  So the Gateway Center will be a blessing.  I hate going up to 225th street.  Soon, it'll just be a nice walk across the bridge on a sunshiny day. I think it's gonna open in July.  Looks like there's gonna be quite a few big box stores that I frequent on a regular basis:  Home Depot (love, love), Bed Bath & Beyond, Toys R Us (I go there probably more than I should), Marshalls, BJs, Best Buy, etc.  There are still vacant spots and here are my suggestions:

1.  a furniture store
2.  a bookstore
3.  macys, sears, jcpennys or khols
4.  some big grocery store but not wholefoods.

And restaurants:

1.  Olive Garden
2.  Texas Roadhouse or Outback Steakhouse
3.  On the Border Cafe
4.  TGIFs
5.  PF Changs
6.  An American buffet like Golden Corral or something like it

That's all I want.

Be very clear when speaking to little man

For all of you with sons, grandsons, or who just love the things little
kids say ~ a reminder that adult words are often taken literally...

Circumcised

A teacher noticed that a little boy at the back of the class was
squirming around, scratching his crotch, and not paying attention.
She went back to find out what was going on.
He was quite embarrassed and whispered that he had just recently been
circumcised and he was quite itchy.
The teacher told him to go down to the principal's office.
He was to telephone his mother and ask her what he should do about it.
He did and returned to his class.
Suddenly, there was a commotion at the back of the room.
She went back to investigate only to find him sitting at his desk with
his 'private part' hanging out.
'I thought I told you to call your mom!' she said.
'I did,' he said, 'And she told me that if I could stick it out till
noon, she'd come and pick me up from school.

Get your mortgage MODIFIED

The government set up a site to help homeowners screen themselves for eligibility.  Go here

Do what I do, just send in an application and then let the bank tell you if and how they can help you.  Whether you really need it or not, who cares....just apply...you never know.  It's pretty simple.  Call your mortgage lender or look on their site for an application.

Everybody's getting a bailout, why not you.

Life's a bitch.

So I was alerted by one of my neighbors about one of the board members losing 2/3 of her retirement money because of Madoff.  I wonder why some of them put all their trust in this man.

Ya know, it's kind of like the Asian culture (Vietnamese for sure) where everything functions on word of mouth and my word is my honor thing.  But, it only works in the Asian culture.  Other cultures don't have that deep respect to pull it off.  Obviously, it was a hush hush kind of investment and they all got screwed.  Madoff's word was not his honor...hehehe...

I feel sorry for this person but then again she's the one that bit my head off at the first owners' meeting when I tried to get some answers.  She's also the one that gives me nasty looks and walks around with a fucking attitude as if she's so high and mighty.  She was up there dancing with the Gods and forgot earth existed.

Hmmm....the Gods don't love ugly....and welcome to planet earth again.  It's okay, I forgive her and hopefully, she'll be able to force a smile or two at me when we pass cuz I genuinely do feel bad for her.

Sometimes, I wonder if these folks really lost their money.  I can't help but think it could potentially be the biggest scam of all. The mother of all scams.  Just a thought.  Afterall, aren't we bustin' our asses to give everybody and their dogs money.

No Heat

It's freakin cold outside and we have no heat.  Where's our board?  Where's our management company?  Where's Richman LLC?  Where's Gotham Construction?  Why are we paying them again?

The only thing that the porters can tell us is "they're supposed to come and fix it today."  It's 8 pm already.

If my baby gets sick, somebody better have a really good answer.

I am so sick of these numb nuts!
